A curious case is when a Crewmate is dead while a body is reported, so, when the discussion ends, their body will appear at the lobby consequently, leading to another discussion. You can identify The Impostor if they do a common task that you don't have, such as Fix Wiring. If a player appears to water the plants before they got the watering can out of Storage, they are An Impostor. If a player appears to upload data in Admin first, they are An Impostor.Īnother example is the Water Plants task in MIRA HQ. However, receiving the power in another location such as Shields will make the taskbar go up.Īn example of the task order is the Download Data task, wherein The Skeld, Admin, is always the last location needed to complete the task. For example, in the Divert Power task, diverting the power in Electrical will not make the taskbar go up. Note that the taskbar will only go up if the task is fully completed. A crewmate sees An Impostor fake a task, such that the taskbar does not go up or such that The Impostor fails to follow a certain order in doing tasks. This means The Impostor vented into the room. A crewmate enters a room, notes the people inside, exits, stands outside the door and notices a person leaving the room who was never in the room.A crewmate sees An Impostor enter or exit vents.A crewmate sees An Impostor kill, either in person or on security cameras. ![]() There are a few ways that The Impostor can be found with 100% certainty: Impostors will probably try to frame other Crewmates, and Crewmates may wrongly suspect someone of being An Impostor. However, this requires a great deal of trust and certainty. The Southeast Sensor which flashes orange when activated.Īmong Us, it is possible for Crewmates to seek and vote out The Impostor. The Southwest Sensor which flashes green when activated. The North Sensor which flashes blue when activated.Note: In the beta version, the log is deleted after a Communications sabotage. This means that any movements during the comms outage are unaccounted for in the Door log, making it unreliable for catching impostors or clearing crewmates. ![]() However, during a Communications sabotage, the log cannot be viewed, and the sensors do not record movement. ![]() Each sensor has its cooldown, and you can think of it to be similar to door sabotages, where it has its respective cooldowns.Īside from clearing room for new entries when full, the log is never deleted. Once full, the log will remove the oldest event to make room for the new one. The log holds a maximum of the 20 most recent events. The cooldown only applies to one respective user thus, the Door log can detect multiple users as long as that respective user's cooldown on the sensor is available. When one of these sensors is activated, there is a cooldown of 5 seconds before logging the user again. This can also trigger when the user stands completely still on the sensor, implying it is not motion activated, meaning the player doesn't necessarily need to move to activate the sensors. By spacing out when moving with people, the killer would need to physically move next to you.ĭoor Log The sensor is activated when a Crewmate/Impostor walks over the sensors. If everyone is stacked on top of one another, the impostor could kill someone and make it impossible to decipher who it was. Inversely, if you are in a group, try to keep at least some distance from your other teammates. Impostors can jump out of any vent, giving them easy access to almost every room in every map. If you do need to go complete a task where no one is, be cognizant of your surroundings. Try to not wander off on your own too much, as this will most likely lead to your death. Since impostors cannot complete tasks, showing you finishing one is definitive proof you are a crewmate. However, I recommend holding off on doing certain tasks like the medical scanning in the Medbay, as other players can see you visually completing this. These are small mini-games that range from scanning your ID card to getting rid of the trash to blowing up asteroids. You’ll always want to focus on getting your tasks done, as it’s one of the only ways your team can actually win. This will also give you some deniability if others begin to accuse you of being the murderer. Try to stick in a group to ensure that you aren’t picked off by the impostor. When the game starts, I recommend trying to get as many of your tasks done as possible. Trust me, only using the mouse will make you far more comfortable with killing especially if you’re brand new. Before you even start playing, if you are on PC, I strongly recommend changing the controls over to mouse and keyboard, instead of just the mouse. ![]() These tasks are listed in the top left of your screen, and they can be completed in any order. The role you’ll most frequently be assigned, crewmates are tasked with completing tasks scattered throughout the space station or ship.
